20 Pero los principales sacerdotes y los ancianos persuadieron a la multitudi que pidiera a Barrabás y que se diera muerte a Jesús.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 20 Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 Respondiendo el gobernador, les dijo:
--¿A cuál de los dos queréis que os suelte?
Y ellos dijeron:
--A Barrabás.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 21 But the governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will ye that I release unto you? And they said, Barabbas.
22 Pilato les preguntó:
--¿Qué, pues, haré de Jesús, llamado el Cristo?
Todos le dijeron:
--¡Sea crucificado!
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 22 Pilate saith unto them, What then shall I do unto Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified.
23 El gobernador les dijo:
--Pues ¿qué mal ha hecho?
Pero ellos gritaban aún más, diciendo:
--¡Sea crucificado!
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. 23 And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 Viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, sino que se hacía más alboroto, tomó agua y se lavó las manosj delante del pueblo, diciendo:
--Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo.k Allá vosotros.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 24 So when Pilate saw that he prevailed nothing, but rather that a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; see ye to it.
25 Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo:
--Su sangre sea sobre nosotros y sobre nuestros hijos.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. 25 And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26 Entonces les soltó a Barrabás, y habiendo azotado a Jesús, lo entregó para ser crucificado.l
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
26 Then released he unto them Barabbas; but Jesus he scourged and delivered to be crucified.
