108.
1 Co 15,40
Everything in the
heavens
has a body, and so does everything on earth. But each one is very different from all the others.
There are
also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial
is
one, and the
glory
of the terrestrial
is
another.
109.
He 1,10
The Scriptures also say, “In the beginning, Lord, you were the one who laid the foundation of the earth and created the
heavens
.
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the
heavens
are the works of thine hands:
110.
Jas 1,17
Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the
heavens
. He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
111.
2 P 3,5
They will say this because they want to forget that long ago the
heavens
and the earth were made at God's command. The earth came out of water and was made from water.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the
heavens
were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
112.
2 P 3,7
But God has commanded the present
heavens
and earth to remain until the day of judgment. Then they will be set on fire, and ungodly people will be destroyed.
But the
heavens
and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
113.
2 P 3,10
The day of the Lord's return will surprise us like a thief. The
heavens
will disappear with a loud noise, and the heat will melt the whole universe. Then the earth and everything on it will be seen for what they are.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the
heavens
shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
114.
2 P 3,12
You should look forward to the day when God judges everyone, and you should try to make it come soon. On that day the
heavens
will be destroyed by fire, and everything else will melt in the heat.
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the
heavens
being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
115.
Rev 12,12
The
heavens
should rejoice, together with everyone who lives there. But pity the earth and the sea, because the devil was thrown down to the earth. He knows his time is short, and he is very angry.”
Therefore rejoice,
ye
heavens
, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
116.
Rev 18,20
The
heavens
should be happy with God's people and apostles and prophets. God has punished her for them.”
Rejoice over her,
thou
heaven, and
ye
holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
