Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

He found Saul and brought him to Antioch, where they met with the church for a whole year and taught many of its people. There in Antioch the Lord's followers were first called Christians. And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

So they had Barnabas and Saul take their gifts to the church leaders in Jerusalem. Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
